Getting to know Rich Redmond has been a highlight of my life. The book we wrote together combines how-to content with stories about Rich’s own experiences in the world of country music entertainment. We have also mined the experiences of his friends in the industry to answer the question, “What does it take to make it?” The whole book is infused with his electric personality and humor, and you just can’t read it without being inspired. TWISTED LOVE is an anthology by Jazz House Publications that showcases gothic horror by indie authors.

When I finished my MFA, I couldn’t write any fiction for a whole year–I was completely drained. One day, I got an idea, and I handwrote pages and pages of a story. It was horror, and I had never written horror before. And the more I wrote, the more horrible it became. It was another entire year before I had the courage to write the end. That story was “It’s Time,” and it lives in this beautiful book.

CHASING MAGIC is an anthology of fantasy stories by CWPH that showcases both established and new international authors.

“Honor” is one of the first fantasy stories I ever wrote. So many people who read it thought it should be a novel, and I expanded it that much at one time. But this short-story version has always been my favorite, and I am so proud that it was accepted into this anthology with so many other amazing stories!

DAILY SCIENCE FICTION was the first to publish one of my short stories, and “Believe Me” is still one of my favorites.

MEDIUM is one of my favorite platforms, and you’ll find a mix of nonfiction, short fiction, and even some poetry on there. I will soon be starting a series of articles called “The Broadway Experiment” to document my daughter’s experiences as she navigates the entertainment world!

About the Author

I love to combine history, mythology, fantasy and romance in my fiction. My undergraduate degree is in History, German and Classical/Koinae Greek, and I hold an MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University. I have had articles published in more than 30 print and online magazines, as well as six articles for the Encyclopedia of Sex, Love and Courtship in the Medieval World. Three of my short stories have been published so far. Interestingly, my short stories tend to be modern and funny. Except for the occasional horror. My first novel, mythic fiction set in ancient Egypt, is currently in the submission process. I am thrilled to be represented by Lizz Nagle at Victress Literary (https://www.victressliterary.com/).

I also edit, proofread, and teach a bunch of online classes.

I’m currently living in the New York City area to help my daughter realize her dreams of acting on a Broadway stage. In the near future, I plan to sample life as an international digital nomad.
